Introduction
Here is my favourite recipe for making choclate chip pancakes in the morning!
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- chocolate chips, to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together all the dry ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Using a scoop or ladle, pour the batter into the pan.
- Sprinkle your desired amount of chocolate chips onto each pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
- Serve warm with your favorite toppings!
Tips for Perfect Pancakes
Do not overmix the batter, a few lumps are fine
Let the batter rest before cooking for lighter and fluffier pancakes
